David Jacobs-Strain has a penchant for vintage microphones and quirky recording gear. It’s an obsession really. But a worthy one. David specializes in acoustic music - roots music - and has an intimate knowledge of how to draw the best possible sound out of a wooden instrument. He has recorded many of his own albums, which led him to recording albums for other people, and prompted his deep study of the recording arts.
As a producer, he understands the pre-production process and works closely with each artist to craft a vision for every project.
David’s small studio in Eugene, Oregon is private, well-lit, and cost effective for artists wanting to make an acoustic record with high sonic quality and room for artistic exploration.
